Four Play Before the Climax - Finale/Part 1

Before they sent the final four home to work on their collections, Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum gave their final words of advice, then walked arm-in-arm off into the sunset.

Oh, I can see it now on a future scandalous segment of "Who's the Daddy - Paternity Test" on the Maury Povich show.

About a month later, Tim visited Michael and his family in Hotlanta. We learn that Michael is now wearing braces and that he once had aspirations to become a beautician.

Tim then stopped by Laura's loft in New York City. We get to meet her husband Peter and the four rambunctious young boys they produced together.

Next up, we get to see Uli in her much-touted Miami Beach locale. She recounted her tales of growing up in oppressed conditions in what was then East Germany. After watching a bootleg copy of Miami Vice, Uli was determined to one day move to Miami.

Come to think of it, I do remember what a big influence that show had on the fashion industry.

Finally, Tim visited Jeffrey in L.A. We get to hear his sob story, yet again. We also get to meet his girfriend and their son, Harrison. We certainly can see the family resemblance.

After touring Jeffrey's sewing facility, Tim headed back to Gotham.

About a month later, the designers reconvened in New York City. They were there to put the finishing touches on their Olympus Fashion Week collections.

It was also time for the all important model selection.

After seeing Jeffrey dilly-dallying around the workroom, Laura accused him of using "unaccounted for" outside help to sew his garments. Tim told Laura that though this would be hard to prove, the producers will conduct a thorough investigation.

With not much else to do, I think Jeffrey spent most of his time in the breakroom loading up on his favorite - BBQ pork ribs.

So who will Chloe Dao crown as her successor on this week's Season 3 Finale? I guess we'll just have to wade through the pageantry and watch what happens.

ha! I was going to do a Crocket & Tubbs in Uli clothes (either that, or Uli's head on their bodies) for my recap, but decided against it.

And Mr. Bennett *does* look like Geppetto! Good call!

There are so many great images here - I can't decide which to feature for BPR.... Okay - Turtle Poop trumps Batmobile.

It looks like you are predicting that Chloe will crown a MAN the season three winner... Is that your prediction?

This was your best one yet! Very funny comments. Fun images. Love the Batman, Geppetto -- also more subtle things like the Go Fish cards.

After Tim visits Hawtlanta, I can visualise Tim reporting back to Michael Kors.
Tim: Orange is the new black.
MK: No, green is the new black.
Tim: That is so triple LY. Orange is THE new black. Designer Knight turned his family orange.

YOU CAN ONLY FOOL ME ONCE!!!!!
This was the first time I watched Project Runway from the first show, so I didn't know that it wasn't fair. Afterall, the rules seemed pretty simple. The contestants send in videos, interview in person, and 15 people were chosen to COMPETE. Honesty, and talent went hand and hand for the show to be worthwhile. So many realty shows are dishonest and a waste of time, this one really had the ability to rise above the rest, to truly entertain those of us who really enjoy fashion and hope that the best would win. For some reason, the judges thought that we wanted to be tricked, and surpised by choosing the least talented, most offensive, and dishonest designer in the group. They had 3 deserving contestants and one who turned in mostly costumes for Rock Stars.
His tragic lifestyle should not have been played up as part of his so-called talent. I call FAUL BALL. To the Judges: You will lose a lot of your viewers. No one really likes Jeffrey, or looks at him for what's in fashion.
(Remember that grotesque dress he made for one the other contestants mother's. He hurt her so much, and offended anyone who has watching. He should have been sent home after that show. Shame on the judges).
I hope that you
read all the comments on this and all the other blogs. I don't know how the past winners were received, but for me I hope that this choice was the exception, not the rule.
